An interesting and ongoing project I’ve been working on is a bi-weekly podcast called Inside PR. It explores current social media and public relations trends with three industry veterans each giving their take and engaging in meaningful and constructive debate.
This project has been great to work on for a number of reasons:
My dad Martin Waxman is one of the hosts. Alway great to get to collaborate with friends and family.
It’s ongoing! So it’s consistent work haha. No, but in all seriousness it’s been interesting to follow along with the trends myself as I clean up the audio (nothing a little Izotope RX can't handle), get everything nice and balanced and remove any long pauses that inevitably occasionally come up.
I got to do some recording consulting on it. All three of the hosts record independently in their own home spaces and I was able to offer some tips and tricks along the way for doing this, and hear the difference as we continued with the project.
Compose the theme! This was my favourite part of the project. I was commissioned to compose a new, original theme for the podcast and I’m really happy with the result (they were too!).
Always nice to work on projects that keep you engaged at the same time. I look forward to continuing to produce and engineer Inside PR into 2022 and beyond. Listen to the theme below!
